ERGONOMIC SAFETY_ACTIVITES


Ergonomic Safety

·         Reviews of body motion videos and tagging joint locations, plus completing Quality assurance review of video taggers work
·         Perform ergonomic reviews using a variety of assessment tools (e.g. RULA, REBA, NIOSH, 3D Static Strength Prediction Program)
·         Review change management requests to determine WW implications
·         Review incidents related to MSD and complete deep dive to ensure root cause has been accurately identified
·         Quality assurance reviews of field EHS staff ergonomic assessments
·         Deep dive data analytics of musculoskeletal injuries to identify trends and provide insights into proactive program development
·         Provide subject matter expertise and respond to queries from field EHS staff
·         Lead or support Ergonomic projects related to specific use cases or business units
·         Develop and maintain ergonomic design criterion to appropriately evaluate existing and proposed workstation solutions
·         Develop ergonomic solutions to reduce musculoskeletal injuries using technology and design modification
·         Deliver ergonomic solutions yielding return on investment
·         Analyze incident reports and provide ergonomic expertise to eliminate potential hazards.
·         Stay current on trends in technology and legislation that could necessitate adjustments or provide improvements to workplace design

Basic Qualifications

·         Bachelor’s degree in Ergonomics, Applied Science (e.g. Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy), Safety, Industrial Engineering or equivalent degree.
·         At least 2 year work experience.
·         Minimum of 1 year serving as an ergonomic technical resource, ergonomic program specialist, ergonomic program manager or a health & safety role which has significant responsibility in ergonomics
·         Experience with a range of ergonomic assessment tools and understand the strengths, limitations and opportunities with ergo tools (e.g OWAS, ManTRA, REBA, RULA, NIOSH Lifting or similar ergonomic assessments).
·         Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
·         Good communication skills, including the proven ability to effectively manage, influence, and communicate with external business partners and internal teams
·         Eager to be curious and has a passion to research topics and ideas, including reviewing scientific literature.
·         English verbal and written communication skills; and technical aptitude (i.e. able to read and comprehend technical documentation, ability to comprehend and execute procedures, demonstrated understanding of system documentation).

Preferred Qualifications

·         Strong project management skills and attention to detail.
·         Excellent computer skills for use of digital tools for project management and document control (Visio, MS Excel, and Sharepoint).
·         Eligible for membership of Indian Society of Ergonomics
·         Prior experience with manufacturing environment
·         Experience with data analysis
